‘Club Chill’ is a separate series within Robert Schroeder’s solo releases, and in April 2011 ‘Club Chill-Volume 1’ was released on the Essen based EM label: Spheric Music.
Schroeder has now released the second in the series independently, and the music again presents its own unique style that would be comparable neither with Schroeder’s usual EM, or the music of the ‘New Frequencies’ series, or even with the music of his FOOD FOR FANTASY project.
With his new album: ‘Club Chill No. 2’ the production joyful artist provides a very chilly plant with ten very different atmospheres, from Hypnosis, Chill-Out, Ambient up to very groovy but always tasteful synthesizer arrangements.
The music is created using more analogue synthesizer sounds and is sequencer based, but by no means static. Modern relaxed grooves, voice samples, vocoder treatments, interesting sound effects, hot surfaces and gooseflesh melodies conjure up a highly relaxing atmosphere that is typically Schroeder. Characteristic of the musical style on ‘Club Chill-Volume 2’ is the relaxed handling of the instruments. While static sequencer runs specify the background, Schroeder plays in the truest sense of the word with sounds and melodies that are light, loose and playful (this especially on track 2, 4 & 6).
‘Club Chill No. 2’ is particularly suitable for: relaxation - well-being - good mood music - urge to move - dreaming and cuddle to. How can you enjoy the best of this experimental, yet very harmonious album? Just listen – the rest is a natural result. Have much fun.
