Michael Daniel is the guitarist/synth player who is a member of the Pollard/Daniel/Booth “Berlin School” synth trio. He has also collaborated on numerous Brendan Pollard releases and for two years has been working on this Progressive/Electronic release.
Brendan Pollard was so impressed with the finished recording he thought it deserved a proper factory pressing, and so, here it is, packaged in a Vinyl Replica Gatefold Card Sleeve, bit it is a Limited Edition of 300 copies and will go fast!
As the above info suggests, where the P/D/P trio’s music is firmly based in the instrumental improvised “electronic music” market, ‘Henglers Circus’ is very much a part improvised “Progressive Rock” instrumental album and nearer to the KING CRIMSON way of doing things. The amazing thing is that only Daniel is credited with the writing, performance and production – but this sounds like a four-piece band jamming!
Daniel plays: 6 & 12 string electric and acoustic guitars, slide guitar, bass guitar, organ, synthesizers and percussion. There is also the classic sounds of the Mellotron in there too, but he saved that for the final (title) track!
