This 2015 MYSTERY studio album was a classy piece of work and the first record to feature their brand new vocalist: Jean Pageau!
An Import from this long established Canadian Progressive Rock band that has been a consistent seller at CDS Towers for many years and continues their tradition of releasing albums full of elegant arrangements and great attention to detail, with consistently high standards of production and musicianship!
‘Delusion Rain’ is no exception to all that has gone before and recommended to fans of SAGA, KANSAS, JOURNEY, RUSH and fans of melodic Prog in general. Indeed the MYSTERY sound back in their early years was often compared to YES and SUPERTRAMP as well!
Several years ago their lead singer Benoit David became Jon Anderson’s replacement in YES, prior to the current vocalist - Jon Davison from GLASS HAMMER - taking over the mantle on a more permanent basis.
As many of you will know, both these singers have very similar vocal tones to the great YES frontman!
Jean Pageau now brought a new dimension to the MYSTERY sound!
The full musician line-up for ‘Delusion Rain’ is: Jean Pageau (lead vocals / keyboards / flute), Michel St-Père (electric & acoustic guitars / keyboards / production), Sylvain Moineau (electric guitar / 12-string acoustic guitar), Benoît Dupuis (keyboards), François Fournier (bass guitar / Taurus pedals / keyboards) and Jean-Sébastien Goyette (drums).
Guest musicians: Antoine Michaud (guitars) is a member of MONOCHROME PROJECT and is a touring guitarist for MYSTERY and Sylvain Descôteaux (piano) is a member of HUIS.
The album artwork was designed by: Leszek Bujnowski.
