Their 4th studio album was originally released in 1999 and now it gets a 2016 reissue on High Quality Double Vinyl LP format with a Bonus CD of the album!
1999’s ‘Day For Night’ was the band’s 4th album. It contains powerful, at times complex arrangements, but the music is original and totally sensational - probably one of the finest Prog-related song albums of that decade and certainly one of the best vocal performances on a Prog album in the previous 20 years!
The backing is hi-tech and as strong as ever, with the main players being organ, electric guitar, bass and drums, with some tasteful Mellotron string and choral colorations along the way, on a sound that ranges from furious and full-sounding to symphonic and on to an almost GENTLE GIANT-style jazzy feel.
The 14 tracks range from a couple of minutes to over nine, the majority being around the four to five minute mark. Solos are kept to an economical, but effective minimum, because this is an album where the overall sound is the key, and THAT is as consistent as ever!
