Originally released in October 1977, ‘Gone To Earth’ became the band’s biggest selling album release, achieving over a million sales worldwide and having the distinction of being the 6th longest staying chart album on the German album charts of all time!
The album followed in the wake of: ‘Everyone Is Everybody Else’, ‘Barclay James Harvest Live’, ‘Time Honoured Ghosts’ & ‘Octoberon’ for Polydor Records and was a Top 30 album in the UK album charts and a huge seller in Europe. In Germany in particular, the album struck a chord with the record buying public thanks to anthemic tracks such as: ‘Hymn’, ‘Poor Man’s Moody Blues’, ‘Friend Of Mine’, ‘Sea Of Tranquility’ and more. The album’s popularity continues to endure.

This Deluxe Edition includes Two CD’s and a DVD, and features a New Remaster of the Original Album Mix, along with Stunning Brand New Stereo and 5.1 Surround Mixes of the album!
The set also includes New Stereo and 5.1 Surround Sound Mixes of an Early Previously Unreleased Version of the track: ‘Loving Is Easy’, recorded during the album sessions. The track was not included on ‘Gone To Earth’ but a new version was used on the band’s follow-up album: ‘XII’ in 1978.
The DVD-Audio Disc (which is Region Free and NTSC) includes 96 kHz / 24-bit Stereo Remixes.
In addition the set also contains New Stereo & 5.1 Mixes of ‘Our Kid’s Kid’ (B-side to the single of ‘Hymn’) and 4 Other Bonus Tracks.

This Expanded Deluxe Edition Digi-Pak comes with a Lavishly Illustrated Booklet that fully restores the Original Album Artwork and features a New Essay, plus a Reproduction Poster is also included.
