This brand new album marks a return to the studio for the wonderful award winning Italian Symphonic Progressive band: PREMIATA FORNERIA MARCONI!

First discovered by EMERSON LAKE & PALMER (and most Prog fans) in 1973/74 when ELP issued storming English versions of two fantastic PFM albums: ‘Photos Of Ghosts’ and ‘The World Became The World’ on their own record label: Manticore records, and after that they never looked back!

Despite various line-up changes throughout their career, PFM are still recording and touring to this day!
‘Emotional Tattoos’, the band’s new 2017 album is a sensational new release that marks the return of the group’s trademark sound after two more experimental releases. These were: ‘PFM In Classic, From Mozart To Celebration’, dedicated to leading European classical music composers, and 'States Of Imagination', a journey of sound and images comprising eight short movies, each with a different theme and atmosphere.

‘Emotional Tattoos’ takes a melodic rock route, while offering surprising musical twists and turns including moody synthesizers, sweeping orchestral arrangements, straightforward guitar-driven passages and wonderful ballads.
The record finds its inspiration in a compassionate and wide look at the predicament of our planet and humanity, as well as on the relationship between music and dreaming. Its all-encompassing sound expresses energy and deeply stimulates the powers of imagination, embracing and inviting all listeners to really sink into its musical stories. These are not just songs: these are emotional tattoos you can feel on your skin.

PFM is a very eclectic and exuberant musical group with a distinctive style that impressively combines Rock, Progressive, and Classical music into one mesmerizing sonic entity.
Formed in 1971, the band quickly gained a prominent place on the international scene by making it to the Billboard charts (for 1973's 'Photos Of Ghosts'), and winning a Gold record in Japan, while constantly ruling the charts back in their home country, even until today. Recently, PFM were honoured with position #50 in the "UK Classic Rock Hall of Fame" of the 100 most important artists in the world.
