This 2012 album, has only ever been available as a download from the official TB website and comes as a welcome surprise to have this rarity on CD at last!

Tim Blake needs no introduction to CDS customers – we've been selling his music since the early French Mantra label CD releases early in the 90’s, so it was with great pleasure when we announced the highly anticipated March 2017 remasters of his groundbreaking 70’s albums: ‘Crystal Machine’ and ‘New Jerusalem’, and since then all his other back catalogue titles have been given the same audio makeover.
2018 completes the run with: ‘Noggi Tar’, an unreleased album that was only ever made available for a short time via Tim’s website as a download, but it has now been Newly Remastered for a CD release for the first time!

The UK born, French based keyboardist first came to prominence as a member of GONG, where his synthesiser experimentation and mastery was demonstrated on albums such as: ‘Flying Teapot’, ‘Angel’s Egg’ and ‘You’.
He would also join HAWKWIND from 1979 – 1980 and re-join in November 2007.
After departing GONG in 1975 he teamed up with French lighting designer Patrice Warrener to form CRYSTAL MACHINE, pioneering the use of lasers and synthesisers in a ‘live’ setting.
Blake’s debut solo album: ‘Crystal Machine’, was originally released on LP in 1977 on the French experimental label Egg. Tim followed this with his classic: ‘New Jerusalem’ in 1978. Unlike his previous work, the album featured songs and the lengthy title-track dominated the album’s 2nd side.
Tim Blake joined HAWKWIND in 1979 and remained with the group for just over a year before returning to France and moving away from music. His 3rd album ‘Magick’ was recorded in 1991 at Tim’s home studio in a windmill in Brittany around the time he began to surface as a musician once more, and this album saw him adopt a more minimalist approach to his music. Although he made occasional ‘live’ appearances after that, it would be nine years before he would return with a new studio album: ‘The Tide Of The Century’ recorded once again at his windmill studio in 2000, the album featured a host of fine songs and music and was regarded by the critics as being a far superior release to ‘Magick’. In 2002 Tim Blake produced ‘Caldea Music II’ an excellent all-instrumental album recorded for a specialist label in Spain, and this became a massive selling import at CDS. In 2012 Tim recorded: ‘Noggi Tar’, a download only album that he described as “A digital theses on virtual lead guitar”.

‘Noggi Tar’ features a booklet with a new essay and interview with Tim.

‘Noggi Tar’ is released on 26th January 2018.
