Featuring a mix of longish and average length pieces, this mini-album has 6 tracks spanning a massive 40 minutes full of amazing music, with great vocals and stunning instrumental work-outs that include loads of fantastic Moog, Mellotron & Hammond organ, strident electric guitars, punchy bass and driving drums.
The band’s latest full-length album: ‘Invisible Places’ is already a CDS Towers best seller and like their 2005 debut: ‘Peace Amongst The Ruins’, it’s another epic sounding work paying homage to the progressive rock music that has inspired its members for a lifetime.
‘Love What You’ve Done…’ features an identical line up to the ‘Invisible Places’ CD, with the exception of a changeover for the drums: - Kurdt Vanderhoof (guitars / Mellotron / bass pedals), Ronny Munroe (lead & backing vocals / acoustic guitar), Kerry Shacklett (Hammond organ/ piano / synthesizers, Mellotron / electric piano / clavinet / backing vocals), Bobby Ferkovich (bass guitar / bass pedals / backing vocals) and Jerry McCormack (drums / percussion).
Five of the six tracks are Vanderhoof / Munroe originals, but the big surprise for me is a fantastic cover of one of my favourite SENSATIOAL ALEX HARVEY BAND tracks: ‘The Faith Healer’, where the guitars and keyboards duel away in a style befitting the original release and makes for a very exiting, cover of a real rock classic.
