This is from a series of Remastered Reissues that come in a Deluxe Digi-Pak containing a 12-Page Booklet with restored Original Album Artwork!

They’ve been a mighty long lime coming, but CDS Towers is delighted to announce we are now in possession of copies of the 2013 Remastered and Sonically Enhanced editions of the albums that Vangelis recorded for the RCA and Arista labels, one of which is as: JON & VANGELIS (with Jon Anderson of YES), who also features as guest vocalist on one of the others.

Not only have these re-issues been personally Approved and Supervised by Vangelis himself, they have also been Remastered in 2013 by Vangelis together with electronic musician/sound engineer Frederick Rousseau who is also well-know for his work with Jean-Michel Jarre and solo material that includes many library music albums.

The audio transformation on these new editions is evident for all to hear – there is far more fine detail to be heard at the top end and in the mid-range, with plenty real depth at the bottom of the sonic spectrum as well; they have excellent channel separation and a warmth that you would normally associate with a quality piece of vinyl played on an audiophile turntable.

Each disc has an on-body Colour Label Print depicting the main Cover Art Image, and the albums are all finished in commonly designed Digi-Paks that contain a 12-Page Booklet that restores all Artwork associated with the Original LP release and sleeve notes by Mark Powell, plus two of the titles have Bonus Tracks!

Originally released in 1976, the superb ‘Albedo 0.39’ was the 2nd Vangelis album to be issued by RCA Records.
Recorded at Nemo, his personal studio in London, this conceptual work, inspired by Space and Galactic Physics, took its name from the planet Earth’s albedo (the proportion of the light a planet receives that is reflected back into outer space) as it was in 1976. The album features the iconic ‘Pulstar’ and saw Vangelis push the perceived boundaries of the synthesizer as a musical instrument to new dimensions. In addition, Vangelis played a wide variety of other instruments on this stunning work.
