‘Seasons Turn’ is the 5th solo album by Lee Abraham. It’s the follow-up to his successful 2014 album: ‘Distant Days’, and sees Abraham (electric and acoustic guitars / keyboards / backing vocals) reunited with his core band members: Christopher Harrison (guitars / backing vocals) Alistair Begg (bass / Chapman stick), Rob Arnold (piano / keyboards) and Gerald Mulligan (drums). Dec Burke [FROST*] (lead & backing vocals / guitars) and Marc Atkinson [RIVERSEA] (lead & backing vocals) also return.

Mark Colton [CREDO] sings lead vocals on ‘Say Your Name Aloud’, a track very far removed from his usual style, and Simon Godfrey provides heartfelt vocals to the shorter of the two album epics: ‘The Unknown’.
Also, in a rare return to the Prog scene, Martin Orford [ex IQ] has recorded some haunting flute for the title track. Robin Armstrong [COSMOGRAF] also guests on backing vocals for three tracks, with other guest appearances by Simon Nixon (guitars) on ‘Seasons Turn’ and David Vear (saxophone) on ‘The Unknown’.

This beautifully composed and performed work explores the passage of time across five incredible tracks – one near twenty-five minute epic, a sixteen minute mini-epic and three medium length pieces that are all packed with real quality playing front start to finish. Musically this is kind of like melodic Steve Hackett band styled production, choc-full of classic Mellotron arrangements and huge, sweeping & soaring melodic electric guitar breaks, alongside genuinely great vocals that cumulatively the likes of which I haven’t experienced on a Prog CD for some time.

‘Seasons Turn’ really is a top-drawer Symphonic Prog release that we cannot recommend highly enough, and if there’s any justice in the Prog scene, should sell by the box-load!

The album comes in a jewel case with accompanying 8-Page Booklet with lyrics and player details.
