Superb sound quality from this 2019 Remastered Hybrid Super Audio Disc that contains Stereo and Quad Mixes of Stravinsky, Debussy & Mussorgsky works!

Recorded in Japan in 1975 and first released in 1976, ‘Firebird’ was created by Isao Tomita in both Stereo and Quadraphonic audio and is arguably one of the late maestro’s finest electronic re-creations of classical works.
The record has now been lovingly Remastered from the Original Analogue Tapes by Michael J. Dutton, a highly regarded audiophile engineer working in the Super Audio / Multi Channel audio field!

Like his best selling: ‘Snowflakes Are Dancing’ (Debussy) from 1974, his controversial 1976 adaptation of Holst’s: ‘Planets’ suite and 1979’s adaptation of Ravel’s masterwork: ‘Daphnis Et Chloe’, Stravinsky’s dramatic ‘Firebird’ music provided another plethora of perfect music for Tomita to realize electronically on keyboards & synthesizers.

Also included on this album are pieces composed by two other classical masters whose work Tomita had previously covered on earlier albums: Claude Debussy (‘Snowflakes Are Dancing’) and Modest Mussorgsky (‘Pictures At An Exhibition’).

This 2019 SACD (Super Audio Compact Disc) is a Multi-Channel Hybrid that will play in ALL CD PLAYERS, but offer it’s full glories when played in a machine that has Super Audio Discs capabilities, whether it be in 2-Channel Stereo or Multi-Channel mode.
The disc’s playing surface has a gold tint and there is a genuine feeling of quality with it. The disc comes in a Jewel Case that contains a standard 4-Page Booklet that features reissue graphics by: Paul Evans.
