Re-edited version with Bonus Track recorded at the same time as the original album in 1977, in Jewelcase with 4-Page Booklet & Olaf Leitner sleeve notes!

Originally, the two tracks: ‘Dream’ and ‘Desire’ were conceived for a one-hour radio feature at RIAS Berlin in the summer of 1977, hosted by Olaf Leitner. Then, although broadcast only once in Berlin and Belgium, they soon became cult tape-trading favourites, expanding through Manuel’s fan base.
It was only in 1991, 14 years after the event, that Manuel decided to make it an “official” release on CD, but it has been out-of-print for many years now, so, in typical Manuel style, the revival of ‘Dream & Desire’ is not simply nostalgia, but an indication that the present will only be appreciated after acknowledging the past.

This is a re-edited version of the album, with the Bonus Track: ‘Despair’ which (though it was not part of the original radio-feature) was composed and recorded around the same time in 1977.
The track fits perfectly into the style and sound of ‘Dream & Desire’.

The CD comes in a Jewelcase together with a 4-Page Booklet containing sleeve notes by Olaf Leitner.

This is a must by for all lovers of Ashra / Ash Ra Tempel / Manuel Gottsching music.

‘Dream & Desire’ is released on 5th July 2019.
