Hot on the heels of Dave Bainbridge’s magnificent 2022 solo album: ‘To The Far Away’, comes a 3-Disc concert document of his new band CELESTIAL FIRE!

Named after Dave’s 2014 album, this is the debut release from the IONA, STRAWBS and LIFESIGNS multi-instrumentalist’s newly formed band. Featuring Bainbridge on (guitars / keyboards / vocal), he has enlisted this talented group of musicians into his new band: Sally Minnear (lead vocals / acoustic guitar / percussion), Simon Fitzpatrick [CARL PALMER BAND – bass guitars / Chapman Stick, Moog bass Darbukka), Dave Brons (guitars / mandolin / vocal) and Frank Van Essen (drums / percussion / violin / vocal).

For this set they play an mixture of IONA music and Dave’s solo compositions, plus a couple of YES covers: ‘Roundabout’ (an instrumental piece showcasing Simon Fitzpatrick) and the blissful encore that is Jon Anderson’s ethereal masterpiece ‘Soon’.

If you heard Dave Bainbridge’s solo music before, or experienced the gifted musician working in any of the previously mentioned bands, you will already know what a quality first-rate player he is and have a very strong idea of what to expect from his new CELESTIAL FIRE outfit. This is classic Prog-Rock where among its many highlights you will hear Bainbridge’s magnificent soaring electric guitar and ethereal keyboard orchestrations, Sally Minnear’s angelic vocals and the astounding sounds created from Simon Fitzpatrick’s stunning finger work.
