Incredible Canadian mainly instrumental Prog-fusion from the band fronted by current CAMEL keyboardist Guy LeBlanc with Andy Latimer guesting on guitar!

‘Justify’ is the 2014 studio album by NATHAN MAHL and it comes in a Dig-Pak with a 12-Page Booklet included.

A lot of people reading this will know Canadian musician Guy LeBlanc as the keyboards player in CAMEL, but long-established CDS customers will also know him for the excellence of his own band NATHAN MAHHL – A name CDS has regularly promoted throughout the past twenty years.

It's been a long time since the last NATHAN MAHL album, but for ‘Justify’, bandleader Guy LeBlanc has recruited his most trusted and reliable collaborators to record seven new songs that explore Good and Evil, and the best way to tell the difference. As with most NATHAN MAHL albums, the styles run from Prog-Fusion to classic Neo-Prog and from its first aggressive sensual strains to the grandiose passionate finale, ‘Justify’ will take you for a ride that covers the whole spectrum of human emotions and attitudes.

The line-up for this album is: Guy LeBlanc (keyboards / recorders / vocals), David Campbell (guitars / additional keyboards / vocal), Tristan Vaillancourt (guitars), Don Prince (drums / percussion / vocal), with Shirley Glaser (background vocals) and very special guest: Andrew Latimer (guitar & extra keyboards on ‘Infinite Light’).

For those unfamiliar with the group, the NATHAN MAHL biography states…
The band, based around the figure of keyboard player Guy Leblanc, puts together a very potent mix of sounds to produce this mostly instrumental work. Their music is both dark and light, complex and largely symphonic prog, loud and quiet, yet always stretching way beyond.
Their musical style incorporates elements of the likes of YES, ELP, GENTLE GIANT and even a bit of Frank Zappa, blending it together to create a style that is very much their own.
NATHAN MAHL is just progressive rock of the highest calibre, recommended especially to lovers of jazz-rock and more complex structures.

Here is an overview of what CDS Towers has said of NATHAN MAHL over the years…
NATHAN MAHL produce first class, mainly instrumental Progressive Rock compositions, and feature simply fabulous, talented, and imaginative musicians. Their music is packed full of passages with stirring electric guitar work, blazing synthesizers & Hammond organ melodies, with electric bass and drums tightly driving the instrumental engine room, recalling a long line of Prog supergroups such as CAMEL in particular, through to Steve Hackett!
Essentially they make a brew of strong Prog with fusion leanings, and this is serious playing we are talking about, as tightly arranged and flowing melodies fly out in varying degrees of intricacy and atmosphere, sometimes almost veering towards a more seventies-sounding fusion-esque style of things.
The breadth of composition and the delivery of the music is just astounding, with structure and cohesion being the binding forces that make it all work. The arrangements are melodic, full-sounding, superbly produced and structured to perfection, mixing tunes with technique in just the right proportions. This is high-flying instrumental duelling of the highest order that runs the gamut of all-out biting attack through to more reflective pastoral interludes, are that is basically what this band are all about!

NATHAN MAHL make creative, masterfully produced and extremely well delivered Prog-fusion at its very best and we think anyone into this side of the genre will get a real long-term kick from this red hot unit.
Needless to say, NATHAN MAHL comes Recommended!
