Long deleted 1988 USA semi-instrumental solo album by co-founding member and brilliant keyboardist / composer of the UK Symphonic Prog band CAMEL!

CD Services started in the music by mail business back in the mid 1980’s, and the following album was one of our earliest best selling imports of the time, so it is with great pleasure that in 2014 we can announce a Remastered reissue of a key Peter Bardens album from that decade!

Lumped under the (at the time) massive American “New Age” market, this album and its partner release (see below) were pretty much overlooked and unknown to a lot of CAMEL fans (unless you knew of us of course, as we were selling them as fast as we could import them).
So, here it is again, Remastered in 2014, and at a decent price to boot…

Sadly no longer with us, Peter Bardens was the keyboardist and a founding member of the British Progressive rock group CAMEL. He played organ, piano, synthesizers and Mellotron and wrote many of the band’s songs with Andrew Latimer. Pete featured on nine CAMEL albums before he left to pursue a solo career.

Also originally issued in the USA on Capitol Records’ Cinema imprint in 1988, ‘Speed Of Light' was Peter Bardens' follow-up to the popular ‘Seen One Earth’ album, and this too has been out of print for may years!
Being less ‘Progessive’ than its predecessor, it is a quieter collection of “New Age” instrumentals and sleepy pop songs and fitted well into the genre that had taken ‘Seen One Earth’ to its heart, and like that album, can now be seen as a classic of the genre.

The musician line-up for ‘Speed Of Light’ was: Pete Bardens (keyboards, production & engineer), Phil Da Costa (programming), Mick Fleetwood (drums), Dave Foster (bass), Russell Gilbrook (drums), Neale Heywood (guitar), Honey Hylton (vocals), Neil Lockwood (vocals), Neil Nicholas (vocals) and Wally Traugott (programming).
