Originally released under the enigmatic moniker of ZED, Szajner's ‘Visions Of Dune’ is a rare and long-lost classic Euro-Synth studio album from 1979!

‘Visions Of Dune’ has been lovingly restored and re-issued with great attention paid to sound quality and detail of the final production, which replicates the original LP Record design in every way, right down to the Silver & Red Gatefold Card Sleeve being Embossed with the “Z” logo and an Inner Paper Disc Sleeve printed in Red.

French electronic pioneer Bernard Szajner was a musical engineer and designer first and foremost (Jean-Michel Jarre's laser harp, Tim Blake's lasers etc., all came from the brains of this guy), then he turned his hand to music and released this remarkable debut synthesizer driven album under the name of ZED on Karel Beer's Initial Records label.

Szajner's ‘Visions Of Dune’ was a concept album was based around Frank Herbert’s cult ‘Dune’ Trilogy and features dystopian sci-fi drones and otherworldly melodies drifting across a broad atmospheric stereo spectrum, creating a multi-layered, deeply immersive listening experience.

Now Remastered from the Original Tapes by Rashad Becker in Berlin, with 2 Additional Unreleased Bonus Tracks (appearing as bonus tracks on the CD and as digital only tracks available via a download card with the LP format), this is a welcome REPLACEMENT for that old 90’s (and possibly unofficial) Spalax label version you've got!

Musician line-up: Bernard Szajner (Oberheim synthesizer / Arp Odyssey / laser generators / Oberheim digital sequencer), Colin Swinburne (guitar), Clement Bailly (drums), Hanny Rowe (bass), Klaus Blasquiz (treated voice) and Anannka Raghel (synthesized voice).
