‘Music For Installations’ is a collection of New, Rare and Previously Unreleased Music, all of which was recorded by Brian Eno for use in his Artwork installations covering the period from 1986 and beyond!
Over this time, he has emerged as the leading exponent of “generative” music worldwide and he is generally recognised as one of the foremost audio-visual installation artists of his time.

Eno’s visual experiments with light and video have proved to be the fertile ground from which so much of his other work has grown, and they cover an even longer span of time than his recordings, paralleling his musical output in recent decades. These highly acclaimed works have been exhibited all over the globe - from the Venice Biennale and the Marble Palace in St. Petersburg to Beijing’s Ritan Park and the sails of the Sydney Opera House.

‘Music For Installations’ comes in 3 Limited Edition FORMATS all of which contain the same music:

Plus a 6CD SUPER DELUXE “Plexiglass” Edition that is an EXTREMELY Limited!
Plus a 6CD STANDARD Limited Edition in Card Covers housed in a Clamshell Box!

All three ‘Music For Installations’ editions were designed by Brian Eno together with long-time collaborator Nick Robertson.
Each edition comes with a 64-Page Book containing Rare and Unseen Exhibition Photographs from Eno’s various exhibitions given over the last thirty years and beyond, plus a New Essay written by the man himself.
The 6 CD’s / 9 Vinyl LP’s feature music from Brian’s ‘Installations’ from 1986 to the present day.
50% of the music is Previously Unreleased in any format and the rest has only ever had a very limited CD direct to consumer release. All the music is on Vinyl for the very first time!
The Mastering of each CD (and the Vinyl Cut) is by Matt Colton at Alchemy Mastering in London.
