Original Italian language version of keyboards driven Symphonic Prog album ‘Le Porte Del Domani’ beautifully packaged in a Lavish Gate-Fold Card Sleeve!

Founded in Genova, Italy in 2001, LA MASCHERA DI CERA is a side project founded by musician Fabio Zuffanti (FINISTERRE). Musically LA MASCHERA DI CERA plays 70’s influenced Progressive Rock using vintage sounds in their bombastic symphonic arrangements. With all the best ingredients in place: massed keyboards (Mellotron, Moog, Hammond etc.), bass, acoustic guitars, inspired flute work and excellent vocals, the band bring a nostalgic return to the grass roots of genuine 70's Italian Prog as performed by bands such as: L’ORME, MUSEO ROSENBACH, IL BALLETO DI BRONZO and P.F.M.

‘Le Porte Del Domani’ is a prime example of their style, with the sensational Agostino Macor's arsenal of vintage keyboards set at centre stage. Fans of the glorious sound of the Mellotron will be ecstatic at the use and abuse the instrument gets during this production! This keyboards player has already been touted as an Emerson / Wakeman sound-a-like with his colossal, somber and melancholic Mellotron waves, swirling synths swelling the band’s driving, booming rhythmic structures.

Musician line-up: Alessandro Corvaglia (lead vocals / acoustic, 12-string & electric guitars), Agostino Macor (grand piano / Fender Rhodes / Hammond & Crumar organs / Mellotron / Birotron / Chamberlin / Mini-Moog / synthesizers / Corvaglizer mandolin / bells), Andrea Monetti (flute), Fabio Zuffanti (bass / bells) and Maurizio Di Tollo (drums / spring drums / chimes / shaker / timpani / zen bells / tambourine / congas / snare drum / Mellotron / backing vocals). Guest performers are: Martin Grice (flute on tracks 1, 2 & 8 / sax on track 4) and Laura Marsano (electric lead guitar on tracks 4 & 6).
