2012 Remaster of classic 1973 debut album by KAYAK, one of the finest Melodic Prog Crossover bands to emerge from the Netherlands in the 1970’s!
Keyboard player Ton Scherpenzeel (who has also since worked with CAMEL) and drummer Pim Koopman formed KAYAK in Hilversum in Holland in 1972. The band signed to the Dutch division of EMI’s HARVEST label the same year and released this, their debut album in 1973.
‘See See The Sun’ featured the full line-up of: Ton Scherpenzeel (keyboards), Max Werner (vocals / Mellotron), Johan Slager (guitars), Cees Van Leeuwen (bass) and Pim Koopman (drums) and was a fine debut that would launch KAYAK as a major group in their homeland and further afield into Europe.
This reissue has been Remastered from the Original Master Tapes and features a Bonus Track taken from the band’s 1st Single. The disc sports a matching full-colour on-body print of the album cover-art on the CD label.
The 16-Page Booklet fully restores all the Original Album Artwork with Extensive New Sleeve Notes and Images added to make this a real, all round value-for-money product.
