half of the nineties, this trio of musicians remain one of Britain’s
best kept musical secrets, because they play music that is deemed
“unfashionable” and yet is as original as it is exciting,
as heady as it is an experience! Taking the lengthy improvisations
of seventies Tangerine Dream as a major influence, the synths/guitar-based
trio have created album after quality album of equally long tracks,
full of synthesizer/Mellotron-dominated space, cosmic music layers,
driving sequencers and guitar work ranging from spacey and spacious
to intense Heldon-like layers. Radio Massacre International
have taken the influences of bands like Tangerine Dream and
Ash Ra and fashioned them into something wholly original and innovative
on the Electronic Music scene, with a series of ‘improvised’
albums that are nigh on flawless.
