Synthesizer based 'Electronic Music' is one of CD Services busiest departments! This is the place where you will find a fantastic range of mainly instrumental electronic recordings from our main home database of over 10,500 titles available in the genre worldwide. A selected range of these is always available to order in our online shop, and like our other departments, it is constantly expanding.
We offer material drawn from right across the traditional 'Electronic Music' spectrum - it's all here: 'Melodic Neo-Classical' to 'Rhythmic Electronic', 'New Age', 'Space Music' and beyond.
This covers everything from the 'Berlin School' styles of Tangerine Dream & Klaus Schulze through to the rhythmic, melodic world of Jean-Michel Jarre, the modern 'Ambient' planes of Ian Boddy and melody merchants such as Andy Pickford, Vangelis, Kitaro, David Wright & John Dyson, then heading on down through the 'healing' sounds of 'New Age' labels like New World - plus all points in between from class acts such as: Radio Massacre International, Steve Roach, Gandalf and Mark Shreeve.
Like most of the other CDS 'Specialist' departments, some of the titles in the Synthesizer / New Age category have a certain element of "crossover" with other categories in the store, and here there are crossovers with the Ambient / Electronic, Kraut / Euro-Rock, Progressive / Symphonic-Rock, Psychedelic / Space-Rock and Oldies categories.
