Six years in the making, it’s the new studio album from one of the UK’s finest ever Symphonic Prog bands, and their first since ‘Masters Of Illusion’ in 2020!

MAGENTA are honoured to have Nick D’Virgilio (BIG BIG TRAIN / STEVE HACKETT BAND) to take over the drums for this album, plus Peter Jones (TIGER MOTH TALES / CAMEL) & Steve Balsamo (London West end singing star / ALAN PARSONS PROJECT) are also on board providing backing vocals.

This CD+DVD edition contains the 'Tarot' CD plus a DVD with 5.1 DTS and Dolby Digital audio.
It also features Promo Videos, Live Acoustic Videos and Interviews with both Rob Reed and Steven Reed.
The set comes packaged in 6-Panel Digifile format Card Sleeve.

It also comes as a really smart collector’s Limited Deluxe Edition 4-Disc Numbered Silver Grey Rectangular Tin edition that includes the following items:
1. The MAGENTA - ‘Tarot’ album CD+DVD 2-Disc Set.
2. The MAGENTA - ‘Tarot - The Alternate Deck’ 77-Minute CD in a Card Sleeve.
This contains a Bonus Track from ‘Tarot’, the complete album in Instrumental Form and a 2026 Remix of the ‘Songs From The Big Room’ Real World Session. The CD comes in a Card Sleeve.
3. The MAGENTA – ‘Live On A Knife Edge’ DVD – A Region Free NTSC Disc that includes both ‘Live At Rockfield Studios 2018’ and ‘Live At Acapela Studios 2025’ performances.
The DVD comes in a Card Sleeve and has a running time of 108 minutes.
4. A set of 6 Tarot Cards - These are full colour and include autographs from Christina, Rob & Chris.

Rob Reed - “It’s been a while since Magenta have released a new studio album. As always, I’ve been busy with various other projects and have been waiting to find something new to say musically for the new album. We have released so many CDs, EPs and DVDs over the last 25 years, and I always aim to ensure every album is different and the sound ever evolving.
This time I decided that I would write the material to suit Tina’s voice and during the writing process it became easy to imagine her singing it. Usually, I would just write the songs and hope that it was in her range. We took a lot of time making sure the songs were in the right key to get the most out of her voice.
Musically I decided that I would look back to what the blueprint was when we started Magenta back 2001. I was, and still am, a massive fan of Renaissance, and when we made Revolutions, I was very much influenced by their unique sound. So, on this project I really wanted to have one distinct style, a mix of orchestra, guitars and keyboards but with the bass guitar loud and proud.
I’m very pleased by what we’ve achieved and think that ‘Tarot’ is the most coherent and consistent Magenta album to date and can’t wait to unleash it to the world.”

The full MAGENTA line-up for ‘Tarot’ is: Christina Booth (lead vocals), Robert Reed (keyboards / bass guitar / piano / rhythm guitars / recorders) and Chris Fry (lead & nylon guitars).
It also featuring special guests: Nick D’Virgilio (BIG BIG TRAIN & STEVE HACKETT BAND - drums), Peter Jones (TIGER MOTH TALES & CAMEL) and West End singing star Steve Balsamo (ALAN PARSONS PROJECT - backing vocals), Katie Axelsen (flute) and Sam Baxter (oboe).
