With the new concept album of the primal rock of Electronic Music Robert Schroeder wants to deliver exactly that!

Since Schroeder celebrated great international recognition upon the release of his debut album ‘Harmonic Ascendant’ back in 1979, there has been a long stream of consistent and varied EM albums that have followed over the next forty-plus years.

‘Into The Light’ provides tension and relaxation, with as always, the principle of the so-called “Berlin School” forming the basis of the music he produces - electronic synthesizer sounds, sequences, captivating atmospheres, surprising effect sounds and sensitive, emotional synthesizer melodies.

‘Into The Light’ is released by the Essen-based electronic label Spheric Music, and this is the 28th album released on this label, demonstrating a great working relationship between Schroeder and, the label boss and fellow EM musician Lambert Ringlage. The album features seven tracks that fill a playing time not far short of an hour and it can be enjoyed especially well on headphones.

Described as “similar to Klaus Schulze” this new music has space effects that take us into mysterious spheres where deep strings and dreamy melodies quickly immerse us in another world. Schulze-like sequences are rhythmically accentuated and accompanied by Mellotron choirs enhance the exciting trance-like journey. Peppered with space sounds, alienated radio messages, the listener floats in wonder from cosmos to cosmos on a stream of analogue beats, whirling sequences and string melodies that will refresh the hearts of traditional EM fans.
Deep subterranean sounds from the underground lead us further into more trance-like sequences similar to those we know from Schroeder’s 'Paradise' album, sweeping us off into hypnotic places to the sounds of choruses and floating space effects.
