AIRBAG returns in 2013 with a new album entitled ’The Greatest Show On Earth’, their third on the excellent Norwegian label: Karisma Records after the two highly acclaimed: ‘Identity’ (2009) and ‘All Rights Removed’ (2011) albums, and as a result, ‘The Greatest Show On Earth’ is of course much anticipated!
AIRBAG are continuing their journey through atmospheric soundscapes and serious topics, creating cinematic pictures and bringing out emotions, pulling the listener into their world. They’re still giving us the AIRBAG sound, and this time the album is a bit edgier and with some heavier parts.
‘Greatest Show On Earth’ is a great step forward for AIRBAG, and adds new elements to the delightful AIRBAG universe.
With this album Bjorn Riis (guitars), Asle Tostrup (vocals), Jorgen Gruner-Hagen (keyboards), Anders Fossum Hovdan (bass) and Henrik Fossum (drums) together with engineer and co-producer Vegard Sleipnes, have managed to raise the bar for AIRBAG to the next level, and have even brought more characteristics to their sound.
It has taken about eighteen months to finish this record, but quality and musical craftsmanship are the essence in this production.
