Released on the newly revamped Pilz family label Kosmische Kuriere this 1974 Electronic Krautrock classic has been properly Remastered for the first time!
During 1973 - 1974 COSMIC JOKERS were basically Klaus Schulze, Harald Grosskopf and Manuel Göttsching with ASH RA TEMPEL & WALLENSTEIN members Jürgen Dollase and Dieter Dierks doing late night jamming.
‘Galactic Supermarket’ was the 2nd of them and is more rock-oriented than many others.
It's no surprise the music bears more than a passing resemblance to ASH RA TEMPEL, because of Manuel Göttsching and his guitar playing. Also Jürgen Dollase gives some nice keyboard work, particularly the piano, Farfisa electric piano, synths, and even a little Mellotron!
Klaus Schulze was responsible for the more drone organ and synth end of things, but it's pretty obvious when he plays it. The legendary producer Dieter Dierks plays bass on this nearly never-ending improvisation. It's a classic piece in the Kosmische canon.
After years of poor quality reissues, at last we have the proper thing - Fully Licensed, the recording has been transferred from the Original Analogue Tapes at the Dierks Studios in Germany and carefully Remastered for an incredible result!
