‘Modular Sessions 3: Wavestate’ is the third in a series of collaborative improvised Berlin-style CD's which will appear on a monthly or bi-monthly basis in strictly limited editions of 100 numbered copies, which will never be re-pressed. Later in the series everyone who has purchased the complete set will be eligible to receive a FREE CD featuring some of the music that did not make the final cut for any of the completed album productions

‘Modular Sessions 3: Wavestate’ is largely based on the Korg synthesizer of the same name which creates entrancing loops, drums and ratcheting sequences, overdubbed here with the huge sounds of Kurzweil 2500, Novation and Moog hardware as well as software synthesizers.

‘Wavestate’ is inspired by the amazing work done at CERN to discover new sub-atomic particles, and the music, which runs continuously, calls to mind TANGERINE DREAM’s live ‘Sessions’ releases, with large slices of Michael Hoenig and the symphonic synthesizers of Vangelis coming through alongside the more melodic side of Jean-Michel Jarre and Johannes Schmoelling's music too.

There's also a lot of very fluid drumming on this album, bringing the classic period of Klaus Schulze and the music of Krautrock characters like Harald Grosskopf to mind! This is brought to life by talented special guest drummer Dieter Niemand, who has mastered Berlin School, rock, electronic and symphonic percussion to a tee.
