The 14th studio album from our ever-popular German instrumental band that features the synth / keyboardist Dirk Jan Müller (aka COSMIC GROUND)!

‘Psi-hybrid’ is a heady mix of new and familiar sounds from the Kings of Psych-Kraut and comes in a Digi-Pak with a 12-Page Booklet included.

Due to the pandemic-related concert break, the band took a different approach to this album.
Rather than just going to record and playing what had been rehearsed, the songs evolved gradually from single or duo sessions, with more time and creativity being utilised in the studio.

In addition to their usual mix of well-known vintage and modern sounds, the band also expanded their ideas to include such things as dobro, zither, various percussion instruments, and bass flute and saxophone, the latter being contributed by Harald Königs. ‘Psi-hybrid’ also features new bass player Werner Wieczorek.

The ELECTRIC ORANGE line-up for ‘Psi-hybrid’ is: Dirk Bittner (guitars / dobro / zither / vocals / percussion / harmonium / samples), Dirk Jan Müller (synthesizer / organ / e-piano / modular electronics / piano / samples), Werner Wieczorek (bass) and Georg Monheim (drums / glockenspiel / kettledrum / tin drum).

‘Psi-hybrid’ was released on 23rd October 2021.
