Drawn from the 80’s & 90’s time zone this 5th volume from the ‘D.MO’ series is a real treasure trove of completely unreleased rarities from the RS archives!

Robert Schroeder has already released four predecessors in the series. ‘Vol.4’ (‘Harmonic Decadence’) was a real rarity for lovers of his first album: ‘Harmonic Ascendant’. A precursor to that album, ‘Vol.4’ was a lengthy release, but without guitar or cello sounds, and it was initially intended to be released on the WEA label.

Robert Schroeder’s music is multifaceted… from deep spherical and cosmic dimensions to rhythmic and contrary sound structures, but it has always featured catchy melodies and surprising arrangements that make Robert’s music so extraordinary and incomparably independent. ‘D.MO-Vol.5’ delivers different atmospheres from earlier times.

A masterpiece of the “Berlin School”, for number 5, Robert did some more research and picked out a few interesting gems from the archive. The two ‘sessions’ in particular have a lot to offer. Some people prefer the current sound, but here you can hear Robert again from the older side that made him famous in the 80’s, but there are also things here that are reminiscent of his DOUBLE FANTASY period, or the hypnotic pieces of the 90’s. Almost all created on Robert’s arsenal of synthesizers, four tracks also accompanied by acoustic or electric guitar.

In short, ‘D.MO-Vol.5’ is an interesting treasure trove of completely unreleased musical treasures!

D.MO is the abbreviation for DEMO. The music on the ‘D.MO’ series consists of unreleased archive material starting in 1979 and moving up to the 1990’s. These are tracks that didn't quite fit on Robert's planned album release. Among them you often find beautiful tracks that have simply been left in the archive - but they are much too good not to release them.
Many of these pieces are now already on five ‘D.MO’ albums. The first CD in this series was released in 1998 on the German CUE-Records label and since 2008 Robert Schroeder continued his ‘D.MO’ series on another German indie label Spheric Music.

‘D.MI-Vol.5’ was released on 1st March 2024.
